First Dental COVID Safe Protocol
The doctors and staff of First Dental are dedicated to providing the safest dental environment to protect you, ourselves, and all of our families.
We pride ourselves on providing the safest dental office in the U.S.A. We have installed the i-Wave full office air purification system into our central heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system. The i-Wave purification system kills viruses and purifies the entire office air. It generates ions that remove hydrogen from viruses and bacteria, thus killing them.
We have installed a Surgically Clean Air scrubber. It will clean the entire office air every hour. This is a machine typically placed in hospital operating rooms to provide the highest level of germ, virus, and allergen removal. Surgically Clean Air technology filter removes 99.998% of particles 0.1 microns in size. The average diameter of coronavirus is 0.12 microns, and thus can be trapped by the first line of defense. Surgically Clean Air technology has a high intensity 254 nm wavelength ultraviolet light with a combination of titanium dioxide (TIO2) chamber that degrades chemicals, damages bacterial membranes, and inactivates viruses. Surgically Clean Air technology releases purified air charged with negative ions to reenergize the air. All of these technologies help ensure we are able to provide the safest environment. We are the only general dentist in the county to have this technology.
We have also installed Germ Guardian air purification and virus killer in every treatment room, reception and waiting area. The Germ Guardian provides a HEPA filter, charcoal filter, and UVC light that kills viruses. We are the only dental Office in the U.S.A. to provide all three of these layers of air quality protection to our patients, staff, and for all of our families.
First Dental is also exceeding all ADA COVID-19 protocol and continuing our extremely high sterilization standards we have always provided. All staff are provided appropriate protective apparel including n95 masks. Patients and staff are screened and have temperature measured. Additional sanitation practices have been implemented. Our schedule has been modified to reduce patient-to-patient and patient-to-staff contact. First Dental is committed fully to the safety and health of our patients, staff, and all of our families.
